Is Editra only for code?+
It combines code, text and Markdown editing. Work on a software project, technical documentation, scripts or configuration files in the same editor.
Which languages does it support?+
Supported formats include TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML, SQL, PHP, C/C++, C#, Java, Rust, Go, Shell, PowerShell and AutoHotkey. Assistance varies by language: JS/TS have deeper diagnostics; AutoHotkey checks are local and structural.
Do I need an AI service key?+
The current writing tools do not require a Gemini key or an external AI service. Assistance uses editor tools and local code analysis.
How do accounts and licensing work?+
Editra uses a verified Sentinel account and a signed license. Available tools, trial access and connectivity policy follow your account plan and product settings.
Can it open large files?+
Files up to 5 MB can be edited. Larger files up to 20 MB open as a partial read-only preview, with the file status clearly shown.
Does it run my scripts?+
Editra is a code and document editor. Diagnostics do not execute scripts; use your project’s build and runtime tools separately.
